Inside the two lairs black box you’ll find the Shinecon VR headset wrapped with a bubble wrapping bag, a user guide written in English & Chinese, and a blue lens cleaner. Build and Design

The Shinecon 6.0 3D VR Headset comes with a simple and lightweight design for better comfort of the user. This VR Headset uses the classic 3 pronged like a T-Shaped Strap which helps you keep it firmly in front of your eyes. The straps are elasticated, easily and comfortably adjustable to almost any size craniums.

In terms of the nose cavity of Shinecon 6.0, absolutely there are no issues. It’s enough wide, easily placable to any size of noses.

The head support straps and the nose cavity both are covered in perforated faux leather for breathability. That’s why, it’s soft and comfortable to wear, even for a long time show.

In the front, there is a removable cover that works via a couple of magnets. So, you can easily remove the cover anytime for ventilation if your phone gets overheated.

And, the top, you’ll find the lens adjustment wheels using what you can customize the focus as your comfort. Overall, build and design is great considering the price!

Lens Quality

It uses 40mm, 100° triangular PMMA aspherical lens Lens and the quality is great enough to go with it considering the price. Apart from that, there’s not a lot of difference with the high quality & expensive VR like Samsung Gear, Xiaomi Mi VR, or BOBOVR Z5. It’s not actually the lenses that make the view more clear, it’s the phone that you’ll use! In my personal opinion, no issues about lens quality. If your phone’s display resolution is more, there is nothing to worry about.

As I said before that on the top there wheel 3 controller wheels that let you individually customize the focus of the two lenses for your eyes. The big one is for changing the distance between the lens horizontally, and the other two wheels for moving the focus closer and further away.

Sound Quality

When it comes to the audio quality of Shinecon 6.0, it’s superb! Bass is strong enough, and when mixing with mids and highs both are clear. One of the interesting features of it is the built-in headphone jack that you plug straight into your phone easily and hideaway safely when you’re not using the VR headset.

The headphone is very comfortable to wear because of its leather cover, the ability for adjustment of the length and up & down alignment to the perfect position.

Setup and Control

The setup process is pretty simple like other VR headsets. Firstly, you need to open the hinged cover to insert your phone inside. There is a grip covered with foam that firmly holds the phone in position. Then, you have to plug the jack into the headphone and you’re all set to go!

The VR Shinecon doesn’t come with a controller, instead of that it has built-in controllers to play/pause/next/previous and increase and decreasing the headphone’s sound. At the bottom of the right corner, you’ll find the play/pause button while the volume button at the left corner below.

With the built-in controllers, you can easily watch 360° YouTube videos and control simple VR apps without an external controller. But, if you want to play VR games, you need to have a 3rd party Bluetooth controller.

But, if you are thinking about watching as you wish, not the things from here and there. I have a tip, you need to have a VR player app for your Smartphone that lets you watch any normal videos or images. For Android, you can try the VR Box video player app. I have used it and it’s great, there are different modes such as Virtual Reality, 360-degree mode, and normal mode. As well as, this player also supports subtitles that’s amazing!
