There are many people, who have an Android phone and love to browse the internet throwing their phone. But, in some cases some of them have both Android phone and laptop. Basically, to browse the internet on laptop we must need an external modem which is not always appreciating. So, they always try to get an alternative way to modem. But, they don’t know that their Android phone may be used as a super modem to browse internet on their Laptop via Wi-Fi. It’s true that most of the Android users don’t know that it’s possible to use their Android as a modem for laptop.

Use Android as a Modem for Laptop Via WI-Fi
To use your Android as a modem for laptop you just need to follow the instruction according to the steps bellow. I hope you would be connected to the internet on your laptop via WI-Fi using your Android as a modem.
Now follow the steps bellow to use Android as a modem for laptop via WI-Fi.
Step 1. At first go to Settings > Wireless and Network Settings > Mobile networks.
Step 2. Then from the “Mobile networks” select “Use packet data” option and uncheck “Use only 2G Networks” option.
Step 3. Now again go to Settings > Wireless and Network Settings > Tethering and portable hotspot. On some devices you need to go to Settings > Wireless and Network Settings > More > Tethering and portable hotspot.
Step 4. And now here in the “Tethering and portable hotspots” select “Wi-Fi hotspot and switch ON.
Step 5. Then, you’ve to setup Wi-Fi hotspot from the Basic Setting. At first, set Network Name as your wish (like: “AndroidAP”), and set the security WPA2 PSK. After that, set your own Password. Then, save the settings.
Step 6. After that, if you see the Hotspot icon (like the picture bellow) in the notification bar, then you may be sure that you have done everything correctly.
Step 7. Now, it’s time to go to the internet through your laptop. At first search for available wireless networks from your laptop (Note: Your laptop must be WI-Fi enabled) and there you have to find out a wireless WI-Fi network, named “AndroidAP”.
Step 8. When you find the “AndroidAP” network then just select the option and get connected (using the Password that given at Step 5) to the Internet from your laptop via WI-Fi.
